The need to occasionally relax in front of the television set, when you don’t have cable or a converter box, forces you to change. I’ve recently found two sites; http://www.ted.com and http://www.snagfilms.com.
Just finished watching; http://www.snagfilms.com/films/title/design_e2_china_from_red_to_green/ This is about energy and building and water use–the whole ball of wax, in China. Most amazing, in the movie I watched, a group of buildings, internationally green certified, and called Linked Hybrid, in Beijing, is a wonder. Using grey water that’s been cleaned, geothermal heat exchanger, and the linked buildings are not only living space, but a complete community.
Check out the blog by a student on a Fulbright Scholarship, about this project. http://chinagreenbuildings.blogspot.com/2009/02/linked-hybrid.html
